OVERVIEW

As part of GOV.OM Design System 2.0, our team delivered six new components and patterns: Data Table, Flyout, Add Row, Credit Card Payment, Address, and Civil ID.

While building them, we identified a deeper issue. Components were duplicated across ministries, variants were inconsistently structured, and design-to-development handoff was slow. Complex elements like Data Tables could take up to six working days to design and five days to develop.

Instead of only designing new components, I collaborated on restructuring the workflow itself, making the system AI-ready.

By refactoring the Figma architecture, documenting token structures, and integrating Figma Make with Claude Code, we reduced design time from six days to three hours and development time from five days to five hours.

This initiative transformed our design system from a component library into an AI-accelerated production framework built for national scale.

Full case study coming soon.
